I feel everyone should have a booklist—a list of favorite books and a list of books to read. My complete book list is coming soon. Here’s a budding list of Inspirational Books
Here are a few books I read recently and are currently sitting on my bookshelf next to my desk:
- The Art of Living – Bob Proctor
The Art of Living was a Christmas gift from my life coach, Barbara. We were wrapping up a guided mastermind group, and she hand-picked this book for me. It’s a book I’ve read several times since I’ve received it.
- The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho
The Alchemist came into my life when I needed a reminder of the magic in the world all around us. It opened my eyes and my heart and resonated with my soul.
- The Money Tree – Chris Guillebeau
The Money Tree is the latest book by Chris Guillebeau. This is his first fiction book, and it’s a parable-like story (instead of his usual real-life stories in his previous books, Side Hustle, and The $100 Startup).
The main character, Jake Aarons, undertakes a series of challenges, first learning how to make $1,000 in a single weekend and ultimately discovering the untapped skills he needs to take control of his finances and life.
- 879 Funny, Funky, Hip, And Hilarious Puns – Gary Blake
This was a birthday gift from my great friend, David K. If you groan when I share a pun, you might have this book to blame.
- Rich Dad’s Cashflow Quadrant – Robert T. Kiyosaki
I read Cashflow Quadrant immediately after Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and it challenged my view of what a business was and opened my mind to a new way of thinking and leveraging my time for money.
- Side Hustle Blueprint – Lisa Cartwright
I was looking for the book Side Hustle by Chris Guillebeau and accidentally ran across this one. Since I create blueprints, I decided to add both of these to my bookshelf too.
- Side Hustle: From Idea to Income in 27 Days – Chris Guillebeau.
I heard a podcast about this book, and since www.TofuAlan.net features my “side hustle” ideas, I figured I’d learn how to improve my side hustle game with this book. Also, be sure to check out: https://sidehustleschool.com/
- Getting Things Done – David Allen
I’m currently reading this book, and I recommend it to everyone!!!
- How to Win Friends & Influence People – Dale Carnegie
This is a book I have never read, but I find it on business leader book lists all the time, and I’ll be reading it in 2019.
- Start With Why – Find Your Why – Leaders Eat Last – Simon Sinek
Simon Sinek has become one of my favorite speakers on business ideas. These are the next 3 books on my to-read list.
- Speak Like TED – Carmine Gallo
We all want to become captivating speakers. Here is an excellent book on how to speak like a pro.
