Wedding Dance Lessons!
Woo Hoo!
If you’re planning a wedding, you may be bombarded with so many things to plan, organize and coordinate, that it’s understandable when the first dance gets overlooked until the last minute.
I’ve had people call me in a panic a few days before their wedding day. Some people are on the opposite side of the spectrum and call me 2 years before the wedding. Most likely you’ll fall somewhere in between these two extremes.
Depending on the complexity of your first dance or dances, you may need extra practice time. For some couples, one partner has NEVER danced before, so we’ll need some extra time bringing them up to speed. If both partners have never danced before, then extra practice time is definitely recommended.
I usually recommend getting together 6 – 9 months before the wedding date. This will allow us to compare your ideal first dance with your existing skill level. If you have a song for your first dance in mind, this is also helpful in determining what style of dance you’ll be doing to your selected song.
Most songs will allow several dance options depending on the speed of the song. I’ll show you several options and let you decide which you like the best.
I currently have a new website promotion price of 4 – 45-minute classes for $300. That breaks down to $75 for each 45-minute class. Or if you want to pay for each class individually, I normally charge $120 for 1 – 45-minute class, but my new website promotion price will be $100 for 1 – 45-minute class.
Depending on which dance style you decide to use for your first dance, I will probably recommend my group classes to get you up to speed with the moves, so we can focus on connection, timing and choreography during our private lessons. I want us to make the best use of our time together.
Good luck with your first dance and remember, the more you practice, the easier it will be and the more relaxed you will be on you wedding day.
Cheers!
