“If you can talk, you can sing; If you can walk, you can dance” – Zimbabwe Proverb
I’m sure you have heard the expression, two left feet. That was me before taking taking dance classes. Now, I’ve been teaching dance classes for over 20 years and specialize in swing dancing & salsa dancing. I can also help you get ready for your first wedding dance.
I have always loved to dance, even when I was very young & shy. Moving my body to the music allowed for more expression of the emotions I was feeling. It brought more enjoyment to the musical experience.
As an adult, I took formal dance classes and loved them and looked forward to every class. I enjoyed the social aspect of dancing as well. I made friends in the dance community with people I may never have met if not for the gift of dance.
If you would like to learn to dance, but feel you don’t have the coordination and natural ability to dance, let me tell you, if I can do it, you can do it. Perfect practice makes perfect. Just like any sport, dancing takes persistent practice and repetition. It’s also the most fun I’ve ever had in learning a new skill.
I feel that as a society, it’s our responsibility to give back when we have received. Dancing has enriched my life and has shaped who I am as a person today. Several of my dance classes are FREE and many classes are included in the price of admission to the venue. I strive to deliver great value for what you receive in my dance classes.
I teach 5-7 days a week (depending on the specific week) and I love when a new dancer falls in love with this artform.
